The bathrooms are spotless and maintained multiple times a day, and there are four private shower rooms with lots of hot water. Firewood and ice are available for a fee. Chippokes State Park offers a variety of accommodations including cabins, yurts, and campsites. The park is home to the oldest structure in the area, the Walnut Valley House, which has four bedrooms and sleeps eight. The cabins range from one to three bedrooms and are ADA accessible. The yurts are a modern adaptation of an ancient nomadic shelter and offer a unique camping experience. The park has 12 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as fishing and boating opportunities on the James River and College Run Creek. The park also has picnic shelters and a conference shelter available for rent.
