Crabtree Falls Campground is a great spot for car camping and exploring the local breweries and wineries of Staunton. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the store has all the necessities. The bathrooms are the cleanest and most comfortable camp facilities, and the campground is close to the trail head for Crabtree Falls. The sites back up to a creek and are only a quarter mile away from the Tye River, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The on-site free dryer is a great amenity, and the owners are the nicest people. The RV sites are too small and crowded, and the abundance of fire rings can create smoke issues. The campground is too far off the highway for overnight stays.

Crabtree Falls Campground is Virginia's Best Kept Secret, located just West of Nowhere and Straight South of Heaven. The campground offers tent sites, pop-up/RV sites, and cabins for accommodations. The facilities are not ADA compliant. The campground is surrounded by beautiful Nelson County and offers a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy nature.
