What others are saying about this campground
This campground has a lot of potential but the management and employees dont take pride in it and let the place go downhill. Despite this, the staff is very nice and helpful. The campground is located in the countryside along the northern shore of Lake Gaston and is many miles from the main roads. It has an indoor pool (saltwater) with a drop slide, 9 hole mini golf, 10 lane bowling alley, a few video games, and an exercise room. The sites are level with concrete pads and are under large shade trees. The access is just fine for larger motorhomes, but there is a little tight pulling in with fences on both sides of the motorhome. The split rail fences also make it difficult to make the tight turns. The laundry room is very small and the doors of the dryers dont fully open. There is a lot of wildlife in the park, including deer and pole cats that spray like skunks. The bathrooms are just ok and there is a large piece of ceiling in the B/R and fallen and rotting wood is visible above. Overall, the campground is run down and needs lots of TLC.
