Outdoor Resorts is a very pleasant campground located close to the beach, offering a private and serene environment. The roads are narrow and not easy to maneuver with a large RV, but the sites are well-maintained and offer great views of the bay. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball area, and a childrens playground. At the resort, you can enjoy bike riding to a small grocery store in town, kayaking on the bay, and visiting False Cape State Park and Newport News. The beach, pier, local supply store, and bar are all within walking distance. The sites come with a wood deck and private dock, and are equipped with cable TV, sewer, and both 30 and 50 amp hookups. The resort is also pet-friendly, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. While there are some downsides such as the narrow roads and the occasional presence of snakes, this is a great spot for a low-key and peaceful getaway.
