Located in Warm Springs, VA, Bolar Mountain Recreation Area is a beautiful spot for camping. The campsites are shaded, well-sized and offer electric hook-ups, although some of the electric boxes are located on the wrong side of the site. The lake is a great spot for fishing and you can launch your boat from the nearby boat launch. There is also a swim beach and a general store nearby. The campground could do with some updating, but it offers a peaceful and quiet stay. The day use area is quite spacious and the park is typically not too crowded.
