K&M Beachwood is a military recreation campground tucked away in a 2nd generation old growth forest owned and operated by the US Navy. It is a picturesque location with a variety of activities and amenities available. The campground is open to active duty, retired, and DOD personnel only. There are 16 full hook up RV sites, level concrete pads, and lots of room for tents and cabins. There are trash cans and bags provided, as well as a broom to help keep the dirt cleaned up. There is an attendant available after work hours to check people in and answer questions. There are a couple of hiking trails, twin lakes, boats, canoes, and bikes to rent on site. There are also dog walk areas, playgrounds, games, fields, and bike rentals. The bathrooms are handicapped accessible, but the toilets are metal and can be cold in the winter. There is a bar in the check in office where all sorts of beers and mix drinks are served at a fraction of the cost of the civilian world. Fishing sets and licenses can be purchased, and there are activities planned throughout the weekend. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the campground is well maintained and clean.

Jim Creek Campground is a Navy Getaways facility located in the Pacific Northwest. The campground offers a variety of accommodations, including lodges and campsites, as well as amenities such as disc golf, playgrounds, and outdoor equipment rentals. Visitors can enjoy hiking and biking on the Wheeler Mt Loop Trail or the Old Growth Forest Trail, fishing and boating on Twin Lakes, or participating in special events. The campground is also committed to environmental stewardship, with a Plan-It Green Friendly Park certification and a Certified Wildlife Habitat designation.
