The sites are well spaced and have plenty of trees and foliage. The campground is quite scenic and there are many trails to explore. There are no hookups, but there is a dump station. Cell service is spotty, but you can find some service up at Paradise.

From The Campground

Cougar Rock Campground is located in Mount Rainier National Park and offers visitors an opportunity to learn and appreciate the park’s natural and cultural history. The on-site amphitheater provides interpretive programs that expand visitors' knowledge and deepen their connection with the park. The campground offers free parking, drinking water, flush toilets (no showers), and picnic tables. Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times. Firewood gathering is not permitted, and feeding of wild animals is not allowed. The dump station and water fill station are closed for the 2023 summer season. Visitors may stay up to 14 nights during a visit and may hold up to 3 current or upcoming reservations at this campground. Reservation changes and cancellations are allowed with some fees. Late cancellations will incur a fee and forfeit the first night’s camping fee. If a camper does not check-in at the ranger station by 12:00 pm check-out time the day after the scheduled arrival date, their reservation will be cancelled.
