What others are saying about this campground
Camano Island State Park is a great spot for camping and outdoor activities. It offers a 3 mile hiking loop with stunning views, a beach access with a pebble beach, and plenty of activities such as beach-combing, hiking, crabbing, fishing, kayaking, berry-picking, and more. The campground has modern cabins, running water, fire pits, picnic tables, flush toilets, and a shower house. The beach access is a bit of a hike, but it is worth it for the amazing views of the sound and wildlife. There is also a nearby boat launch for crabbing season. The campground has a camp host that is visible and helpful, and there are plenty of sites for tents and RVs. The park is also close to the Camano Island Inn, which offers a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine and a snack with your dog. Unfortunately, there is some trash on the beach and illegal camping in the parking lot. Additionally, there are multiple parties with loud kids and adults that can be heard until midnight. Despite these issues, Camano Island State Park is an ideal spot for newly and/or easy campers to enjoy the serenity of the great outdoors.
