GenieSummary

The Cougar RV Park is a great place to stay and explore the surrounding area. It offers a variety of accommodations, from dry cabins to tent sites and RV sites. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the park is always kept clean and tidy. The picnic area and fire pit are spacious and the views of Yale Lake are stunning. The restrooms and showers may be older, but they are clean and well-stocked. Wi-Fi is available and satellite reception is hit and miss. The park offers no cell service, but that is to be expected in a mountain park. The owners are working hard to make this a great place, with updated infrastructure and amenities. There are no full-timers allowed, so the sites are always neat and tidy. The park is small but offers a great experience for those looking for a peaceful getaway.

From The Campground

Located in the small quaint town of Cougar, Washington, on the south side of Mt. St. Helens, Cougar RV Park & Campground is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The park is situated near four popular lakes within 20 miles or less for fishing and water sports. The Ape Caves, the third longest lava tube in the United States, is just a short 8 miles away in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, as well as the Climbers Bivouac Trailhead. The forest also offers ample outdoor opportunities such as camping, fishing, hunting, caving/spelunking, OHV trails, horseback riding trails, hiking trails, mushroom and huckleberry picking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Cougar RV Park & Campground is a great “base camp” for all your outdoor adventures!
