What others are saying about this campground
Fort Casey is a quiet and pet-friendly campground located on the beautiful Whidbey Island in Washington State. It offers spacious sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and barbecues, as well as plenty of trails to explore with your furry friends. The beach is outstanding, and the bluff above the campground has an amazing array of WWII structures put in place to protect the coast. There are lots of things to do at this park, such as salt water fishing, exploring the old gun emplacements and fortifications, touring lighthouses, and beachcombing. The ferry to the charming Victorian town of Port Townsend is just steps away from the campground, and the captains are good neighbors and dont blow the horn upon arrival and departure. Cell coverage is good, and there is no road or train noise. The nearest place to dump tanks is at Deception Pass State Park on the north end of Whidbey Island. The rate quoted is what is paid for a non-hook-up site with a low income senior pass. In some sites, if the weather is inclement with wind blowing off the water, and/or in high tides, be prepared to get salt spray on your rig.

The park contains a parade field popular for kite-flying. The lighthouse is open seasonally. Firewood and ice are available for sale in the campground. Snacks, water, t-shirts, and souvenirs are available for sale at the park office. Boating enthusiasts can launch their watercraft at the saltwater watercraft launch next to the Keystone ferry terminal. A recreational license is required for fishing and shellfish harvesting at Washington state parks. For regulations, fishing season information, or to purchase a recreational license, visit the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
