From The Campground

Hoh Rain Forest Campground is located in Olympic National Park and offers a unique camping experience in a temperate rainforest. The campground is surrounded by old growth forest and features several hiking trails, including the iconic Hall of Mosses Trail and the Spruce Nature Trail. The Hoh River Trail is the area's main hiking trail and leads past multiple camping areas, the last being Glacier Meadows. The campground does not allow pets on the trails. Visitors may spot large mammals like Roosevelt Elk, Black Bears, and River Otter, as well as birds like American Robins, Barred Owls, and Canada Grey Jays. The campground is home to some of North America’s giants, including Sitka Spruce, Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maple, and Douglas Fir. The campground offers several amenities, including restrooms, picnic tables, and fire pits. Discounts may be available for seniors and disabled visitors. Visitors can make reservations and obtain permits for backpacking at the Wilderness (Backcountry) Reservations page. Nearby areas within Olympic National Park and the town of Forks can be reached in less than one hour by car from the campground.
