GenieSummary

This is a great campground for those who want to be close to the beach and enjoy the Olympic National Park. It is a first come first serve campground with 50 sites, so it is best to arrive early to get a spot. The campground is located between mile posts 154 and 155 and is a great spot for RVs, camper vans and small Class C motorhomes. There are no hookups, no water or dump station, but you can get these amenities a couple miles up the road at the Kalaloch Campground. The sites are very close together and there are no trees or bushes to separate them, but everyone is usually too busy fishing, walking the beach, flying kites, looking at the ocean, building and tending camp fires, etc. to mind. There is a small store, a very good restaurant with ocean views, and expensive fuel at nearby Kalaloch Lodge. With a 50% discount for having the federal Senior Access Pass, this is a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the Olympic National Park and the Pacific Ocean.

From The Campground

Fairholme Campground is located near Lake Crescent and offers lakeside campsites and a nearby boat launch. The campground has 88 total sites, all of which are reservable during the peak season. Some sites may be reserved up to 6 months in advance. Any unreserved or cancelled sites will be sold in person at the ranger tent in the parking lot at the Fairholme boat dock during posted hours. Campsites are first-come, first-served outside the reservation period. The campground has flush toilets and potable water. RVs up to 21 feet are allowed. Dump station is available for $10 per use.
