This campground is located on the western shore of San Juan Island and offers one of the few camping options on the island. It features large grassy sites with west-facing, breathtaking views of Haro Strait and Olympic National Park and Vancouver. The campground is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are kayaking launches, hiking trails, and a tiny grocery store nearby. Wildlife such as orcas, seals, foxes, and deer can be seen in the area. The campground is a great spot for whale watching and sunsets. It is a bit pricey for no showers or hookups, but the location and views cant be beaten. Reservations can be hard to come by, so make sure to book in advance.
