Verlot Campground is located on the scenic Mountain Loop Highway in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and offers a unique camping experience. With 26 sites, the campground features standard picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, as well as potable water spigots and flush toilets. The campground is close to the Sauk River and offers access to a variety of nearby hikes, including the Lake Twenty-Two Trail and the Heather Lake Trail. There is also a beach access point nearby. The sites are mostly secluded and heavily wooded, allowing for privacy and tranquility. The campground is also close to fishing access points, and the camp host is friendly and helpful. The campground is close to the highway, however, so there can be road noise. The bathrooms are stocked and mostly clean, but there is a strong ammonia smell in one.
