Browns Creek Campground is a beautiful spot in the Olympic Mountains near Shelton, WA. It is a popular spot for families, with plenty of activities like hiking, fishing, and outdoor adventures. There are several campsites located along the creek, some tucked back in the woods, and pottable water is available at two locations. There are two sets of vaulted toilets and a $14 per day fee. The campground is open year round, and although it is closed during the winter, there are still 6 sites available for off season camping. The last 6 miles before the campground can be difficult to access due to snow and tree fall, but it is worth the long drive. There are a lot of cool places to explore around the area, such as the high steel bridge, Spider Lake, and Vance Creek Bridge. There is a pit toilet open year round and the sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Unfortunately, there is a lot of litter in the area, so remember to pack out what you bring in. This is a great spot for summertime camping and stargazing, and for those looking for a place to unplug and unwind.
