What others are saying about this campground
Cape Disappointment State Park Campground is a beautiful Washington State Park located on the long beach north of the Columbia River jetty. The campground is full of amenities, including full-service sites, paved roads and sites, fire pits, picnic tables, and hookups. There is also a boat launch on the bay, a store, restaurant near entrance, coast guard house and training, fishing, jetty, beaches, two lighthouses, whales off the coast, hiking, dogs allowed on the beaches, great place to ride bikes, viewpoints, birdwatching and kite flying. The campground is very well spaced, with lots of privacy, trees, and convenient access to the beach. There is a new wood-fired pizza place set up where the shuttle used to be and they deliver to the campsites which was fun (if you want Wi-Fi go eat there and they have it). The hosts dont visit the camp areas to enforce rules, so you can enjoy the beauty of the beach, the bluffs, the trails, and the light houses in peace. There is also two accessible light houses and a comprehensive interpretive center for the history buffs all within two miles of the camp sites. Unfortunately, there is no cell service at the campground.
