What others are saying about this campground

This campground is an excellent base for exploring Washington and parts of Oregon. Located close to the runway of McChord AFB, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. With full RV hookups, a large playground for kids, plenty of trails and low traffic roads, and a running trail that goes the entire length of the runway and into the base itself, it is a great spot to stay while on base or just passing through. There is also an overflow parking area for a safe and affordable place to leave motorhomes while flying home. The campground is surrounded by tall old growth trees and is very shady and beautiful. There is a clubhouse available as well as a large pavilion for rental. The camp host, Debrah, is a rock star and the office staff are extremely friendly. There is WiFi available, but Verizon phone hotspots work best. There is also a Burger King and post shopping facilities under 5 minutes away via car.

From The Campground

Holiday Park is a nine-acre area that contains a FamCamp, a Pavilion and a private Scouting area. It has covered picnic shelters, tables, and grills. It is located in a natural setting of Douglas fir with a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife unique to the Pacific Northwest. It provides family camping with a variety of camper and tent spaces. Campers have sites that provide water, sewer, and electricity (W/S/E) 30 amp or 50 amp, dry camping spots, and tent sites. Support facilities provide restrooms, showers, laundry w/soap or bleach machine, sewage dump station, jogging track, hiking trails and grills, as well as a full range of nearby base services. Tent sites are for tent camping only, with a two-tent maximum. No sleeping in personal vehicles is allowed. Any combination of truck canopy/conversion van must be camped in either a developed or dry site.
