Windy Point Campground is a small campground located in Washington State that offers sites for both tent and RV camping. It is open from May 10th to September 9th, and during the winter months offers excellent skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The campground offers drinking water, picnic tables, vault toilets, and firepits. Hikers and backpackers have access to a variety of spectacular trails near the campground, and activities such as fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and mountain biking are available. The scenery is beautiful, with spots 4 and 6 offering river views. The campground is right off the highway, so there is occasional road noise. Bugs were not bad and there were no issues with critters trying to check you out at night. The spot is windy, but the fire pits make it easy to get a fire going. There is plenty of internet access, making it a great spot for introducing someone to camping. The river is extremely cold and running fast due to the snow melt, and the water in the hose isnt clear so it is not recommended for drinking without boiling. Despite this, the campground is a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
