What others are saying about this campground
Hobuck Beach Resort is a campground located on the Makah Tribes land on the west coast of Washington, just west of Neah Bay. It offers cabins with their own bathrooms that can sleep up to six people, as well as an open field for those who dont require water/electricity. A use permit is required to camp on tribal land and can be obtained at either the store in town or the resort check-in station. The real draw here is the surf, as Hobuck has one of the more consistent sets in Washington. In the summer, there is a rental shack set up by North by Northwest surf that can rent you anything you heart desires. Other activities include visiting the local museum to learn about Makah history and the Ozette village site, as well as day tours and kayak rentals. The campground is unpaved and has no designated sites, so it can get crowded like a music festival. However, campers can enjoy views of the ocean from their sites and easy access to the beach. While the park does not take reservations, it is recommended to call ahead to ask if there are any big conferences or meetings happening during your stay. Please note that the Makah nation is drug and alcohol free, and off-road vehicle use is not allowed.
