Denny Creek Campground in North Bend, WA is a beautiful campground that offers a lot of well-kept campsites. Though the main downside of the campground is its proximity to the highway, you can hear the noise of cars passing by from almost every campsite. There are a lot of campsites to use, and they are somewhat close together. Nonetheless, I wasnt disturbed by any of my neighbors near or far during my two-night stay. There is a good amount of tree cover but also plenty of open spots usually around the center of each camp where you can hear the water from the river at almost every location. The campground provides clean pit toilets and dumpsters, which are available at convenient locations. Every site that I saw had fire pits with some type of built-in grill top, so if there is no ban, Id strongly recommend bringing local firewood to cook your dinner and make some smores. The highlight of this campground is its location next to Baker Lake with stunning emerald green/blue water. Its a great spot for paddleboarding, kayaking, and cold plunges. The access to Baker Lake makes up for the noise and highway distraction. The access to fresh water is through a well and pump, and its recommended to have two people operate it. The camp host was very nice and did a diligent job with keeping the place clean. While most sites arent real flat and require leveling blocks, the picnic tables are new this year.
