What others are saying about this campground
Deception Pass State Park is a beautiful campground located on Whidbey Island in Washington. It is one of the oldest in the state, but has been upgraded with modern conveniences such as RV hookup sites and clean bathrooms with hot showers (tokens required!). The campground is surrounded by tall trees, ancient-looking ferns, and abundant wildlife, and is close to the beach and Deception Pass bridge. The area is periodically noisy due to the close location of the Whidbey Island Naval Air Base, but the trees, beaches, and views make up for the noise. Hiking trails, bike paths, and old forts are all nearby, and the campground offers 250 sites with water and electric hookups, as well as dry camping sites. The roads are narrow and one-way, and the sites are often unlevel, but the atmosphere and trails make it worth it. There is no wifi or TV reception, but T-Mobile works. This is a great state park with a really good vibe and is perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful camping experience.
