The park is nestled in the small town of Packwood, with a variety of restaurants, a grocery store, and gas stations all within walking distance. The RV park offers spacious, shady sites that are big rig friendly, with full hookups and 30A service. Unfortunately, there is no cable or TV, and satellite connection is limited due to the thick trees. However, there is free wifi, and cell service is good. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including elk, and is a great spot to observe the majestic Mt. Rainier. The management is friendly and helpful, and the park is well maintained. The sites are easy to access, even for larger motorhomes, and the regular rate is reasonable. Packwood is also home to the famous GIANT flea market, which occurs on Memorial Day and Labor Day. Whether youre looking for a peaceful getaway or an outdoor adventure, Packwood RV Park is the perfect spot.

From The Campground

Packwood RV Park and Campground is a year-round campground located in the heart of volcano country, between Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens. The campground offers 87 RV sites and many tent sites on nearly 8 acres of mostly wooded ground. Pull-thru sites can accommodate up to 40'. 30 amp full hookup is available at all sites, and wireless internet covers most sites. There is plenty of dry camping for those who are self-contained during peak times. Clean restrooms and a laundromat are available on site, as well as vending sites. The Gifford Pinchot National Forest borders the town with numerous hiking trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, Packwood Lake, and Goat Rocks wilderness areas. Packwood offers many businesses, including restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, churches, hardware stores, post offices, and shopping. Sporting goods and equipment rental is also available. Gas stations offer propane and diesel. There is a Visitor Center, Museum, Senior Center, Community Hall, and Fire Department all in town. Packwood municipal airstrip borders the west side of the RV Park.
