The Aerie Campground is a picturesque campsite located on Wenatchee hostess private land. It offers full hookups for smaller rigs (28 ft or under) with stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. The campground also has a platform with a glamping tent for rent during the warmer months. The Aerie is just a short drive from downtown Wenatchee, and winds up a volcanic hillside dotted with private homes and apple orchards. The campground offers a peaceful setting with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy such as hiking, biking, and swimming. There is a small gift shop, boat rentals, and a restaurant serving wine and beer. The 3 mile road leading in is paved and in good condition but is narrow and has many blind curves. The RV slots are tight, but have sewer hook up, 30-amp power, and fresh water connections. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the campground is unpoliced, so you may experience noise and dogs running loose. The tent and RV sites don’t offer much in the way of privacy, but they are a great place to sleep while exploring the beautiful lake and surrounding area. The bathrooms are dated and the hand dryers are incredibly loud, but there is an easy access to food, firewood, ice, and souvenirs at the camp store.
