Though the sites are not all equipped with utilities, there is a dump station on the way out for those who need it. The beach is nearby and easily accessible by trail. There is also an interesting historic site to visit. The park staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are well maintained. The token-operated showers are clean and hot. While there may be some noise from the nearby seals, the campground is generally very peaceful. From The Campground
Manchester State Park is a historic park that was once a fort established by the Coast Artillery Corps in the early 1900s. The park offers camping facilities for tents, RVs, and trailers, with partial hook-ups and standard no hook-ups available. The park also has hiker/biker sites and marine sites. Group accommodations are available for reunions and family gatherings. The park features a large fire circle, 12 RV hookups, a covered shelter with eight picnic tables and electricity, and several unsheltered picnic tables and braziers. There are two unisex restrooms and showers (ADA accessible) and a horseshoe pit. The park offers various activities such as exploring local beaches, metal detecting, and winter recreation.
