What others are saying about this campground
Fort Worden is a beautiful campground located near Port Townsend, Washington. It is situated on the site of an old fort, offering visitors the chance to explore the grounds and the surrounding area. The campground is surrounded by trees and offers plenty of walking trails and views. The sites are spacious and arranged in pairs, with the picnic table and yard of one in each set on the offside of the rig. There is a small store on the property, but for goods and services, visitors must drive into Port Townsend. The campground is patrolled by park rangers and is relatively quiet, although there can be some noise from the construction of the Forest Loop bathhouse. There is no Wi-Fi, no TV, and no sewer hookups, but there are showers for a fee. The Upper Campground is the best place to stay, as it is more sheltered from the wind at the beach and there is plenty of space. It is a great location for families and those looking to explore the Olympic Peninsula.
