Kitsap Memorial State Park is a beautiful, tranquil campground located at the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, just 1.5 hours from Seattle including a ferry ride. The park is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, with a rocky beach on the Hood Canal just a short walk away. There is plenty of open grass and a playground for kids to enjoy, as well as a pavilion used for events. The RV sites are extremely narrow and close together, with no trees for shade or privacy, and no 50 amp service. The tent sites are nicely shaded and separated, and most would accommodate smaller rigs. There are no Wi-Fi, TV, sewer or dump facilities, but the park is managed by friendly and helpful rangers and camp hosts. Showers are private and cost 50 cents for 3 minutes. The park is kid friendly and caters to Scouts, but can get noisy. It is a great place to stay and enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the outdoors.

Kitsap Memorial State Park is a beautiful camping destination located in the Adirondacks. The park offers overnight accommodations in four cabins, each with a bunk bed that sleeps three and a futon that sleeps two. The cabins have kitchenettes with mini refrigerators and microwaves, electric heat, lights, locking doors, and are ADA accessible. Bathrooms and showers are nearby. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as eight picnic tables, two BBQ braziers, a fire pit, and a water spigot. The park is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors. Reservations can be made online or by calling (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688).
