This campground is a great spot for those looking for a well-maintained and friendly environment. Tent sites are available, but require a bit of a hike to get to. The trees are in bloom and there is an abundance of wildlife, making it a great spot for fishing off the docks. The showers are clean and hot, although not located in the tent area. Bathrooms are okay, but lack lights at night. The beach is nice when the water is higher, but can be muddy when its lower. Unfortunately, the US Corps of Engineers does not have a long season here. There is a dump station, but no sewer hookups. RV sites have plenty of space between them, so you dont have to worry about looking into your neighbors RV. There is a short walk to the shore with paddle boards and a great day on the river. Boats and personal water craft can cause noise on Sundays. The Whitman Mission is nearby and worth checking out. Site 16 is the best, but only has power and no water or sewer hookups. Site 27 is in direct sunlight and has strong side winds coming off the lake. There is a trail to the lake, but it is not recommended due to the high risk of encountering rattlesnakes. The road is twisty, but can accommodate a 30 foot trailer. There are no real river front sites, but there is a nice day use and swim area. The campground is located right next to a busy railroad crossing, so noise may be an issue.
