Nestled near Mt. Rainer National Park, Cascade Peaks Family Campground offers a large, secluded campground with many available sites. While the facilities arent the most modern, there are amenities such as a country store, laundry room, and full hookups with water/electric options. The full hookup area has beautiful old trees that provide shade and privacy, and the level sites are suitable for RVs. While there are many campsites, the lack of maintenance and available dumpsters provides a negative impact on guests stay. The roads are either very muddy or dusty with no gravel. The bathrooms are in poor condition, falling apart and not cleaned daily, with shower stalls that have no dividers. In the full hookup area, phone service and WiFi is available, and Verizon and AT&T service works well. Guests are allowed to choose any open spot in the full hookup area. Packwood is close by, providing a quaint town for guests to explore. However, on certain days, it can be closed, leading to decreased options for stores and restaurants. Overall, while Cascade Peaks Family Campground offers a large and secluded campground with amenities, the lack of maintenance and upkeep in key areas may lead to a less desirable experience for some guests.
