Sequim Bay State Park is a great destination for camping, with a variety of options for both RV and tent campers. The park is situated on a north facing slope, so visitors should be prepared for mostly dark and chilly days, especially if they are tenting. The park is heavily wooded and features a variety of trails, including the Olympic Discovery Trail, which passes through the park. There is a dock and boat launch for overnight moorage, and visitors can enjoy the views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and its abundance of sea life. The park also has a swing set, horseshoe pit, softball field, and tennis court for visitors to enjoy. RV campers will find a variety of sites, including full hookup sites, no hookup sites, and near-waterfront sites. The roads are suitable for larger rigs, although the sewer hookup is at a challenging 45 degree angle. The campground is close to shopping and sightseeing areas, including Hurricane Ridge, which offers spectacular views of the Olympics. The park is open year-round, but reservations are only accepted from May to September.
