What others are saying about this campground
The park has a beach and day use area on the Hood Canal, which is a short walk across the highway. The beach is really nice and there are lots of trails in the area. The bathrooms and showers are clean and there is a small stream running through the campground. The campground is great for families with kids of all ages, as there are plenty of activities to keep them busy. Its also close to the Lucky Dog Casino and a place selling freshly caught king salmon that they fillet for you right there. Potlatch State Park is a great spot for families looking for a peaceful camping experience. It is situated right off of Hwy 101, so there is some highway noise, but the campsites are spacious and tucked away in the woods for privacy. There is a small stream running through the side of some of the camp spots that the kids can play in, and the beach across the street is great for both kids and adults. The bathrooms are clean and flush toilets, and handicap accessible. There are also plenty of trails nearby for hiking and exploring. The park is also close to the Lucky Dog Casino and a place selling freshly caught king salmon that they fillet for you right there.

From The Campground
Potlatch State Park is an 84-acre camping park with 5,700 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal. The park has a welcoming campground in a thicket of trees, and its forested creek was recently restored for salmon health. Local elk herds roam through the area, and pileated woodpeckers are busy with their beaks, tapping out rhythms on the trees. The park is a great place for shellfish harvesting, boating, clamming, crabbing, diving, fishing, and sailboarding. It also offers hiking trails, bird watching, and interpretive opportunities. The park has 38 standard campsites, 35 partial-hookup sites, two hiker/biker sites, one dump station, and two restrooms with showers in the campground area. Maximum site length is 60 feet. The park offers summer amphitheater programs and Junior Ranger activities.
