The park has a beach and day use area on the Hood Canal, which is a short walk across the highway. The beach is really nice and there are lots of trails in the area. The bathrooms and showers are clean and there is a small stream running through the campground. The campground is great for families with kids of all ages, as there are plenty of activities to keep them busy. Its also close to the Lucky Dog Casino and a place selling freshly caught king salmon that they fillet for you right there. It is situated right off of Hwy 101, so there is some highway noise, but the campsites are spacious and tucked away in the woods for privacy. There is a small stream running through the side of some of the camp spots that the kids can play in, and the beach across the street is great for both kids and adults.
