Lake Kachess Campground is located just over an hour away from Seattle, making it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. The campground is surrounded by stunning views of the lake, and is great for activities like kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, and even floating. There are plenty of trails leading to the lake, and the sites are semi-private and have easy access to the lake. The campground has vault toilets and running water, and each campsite has a large fire pit and picnic table. There is limited cell phone service, and the campground is heavily used on weekends and holidays, so its not the most peaceful spot. There are rules in place to prevent people from usurping the reservation system, and the Bureau of Reclamation is planning a huge project for Kachess reservoir. Despite this, the campground is well maintained and has everything you need to be comfortable.
