Smokiam RV Park is a great place to stay for a night or two. It is located right off Highway 17 in Soap Lake, Washington and is part of a city park. The RV park is gravel and asphalt, while the adjacent park is grassy with shade trees, picnic tables, and a run down skate park. The sites are wide and back in, with full hookups, and a few have small shade trees. There is a dump station at the front of the parking area that appears to be free, as well as an auto-pay station that accepts credit cards located in front of the restrooms. The campground is well kept, with a friendly, long-time host, and is easy to walk to and through town from here. There are no wireless internet services, but libraries in the area provide that. The lake is full of minerals that supposedly have healing properties, and it is a great place to swim, kayak or take mud baths. The price is great for full hookups this close to the lake and there are no extra fees for children. The only downside is the afternoon winds, as it is in the mouth of a canyon.
