Sumas RV Park is a no-frills campground located in a large farming valley just west of Mt Baker in Abbotsford, Washington. The campground is primarily for long-term campers and is convenient to the Canadian border, making it a great base to see all of the sights in Washington. The sites are gravel and grass, and the park is equipped with 50 amp sites. The park is surrounded by large fields of corn and occasionally, the whiff of a nearby dairy farm. The park is also adjacent to a city sports park that is well maintained and a great place to walk your pets. The office is not staffed, but there is a host nearby who can accommodate credit card payments. The campground is quiet and the scenery nearby is nice. There are a few junk cars parked near campers and some unlicensed vehicles driven around the campground. The campground is self-pay and access to the sites is across a 10 wide bridge. The park has been recently upgraded and the new managers are friendly and accommodating. Despite this, the park is still a great place to stay for an overnight stay or longer.
