What others are saying about this campground
Harrys Campground is a great place to stay when visiting Mnt St Helens. The campground is located on the road into Mount St Helens National Monument, making it a great base for exploring the area. The sites are exceptionally large and have a separated parking space for your tow vehicle. There is a self pay station at the front gate and the campground hopes to have their website up by May 1st for online reservations. The campground is surrounded by a wide, grassy area next to the Toutle River and a highway, with campsites and a picnic shelter. There is a nice hiking trail that runs along the river with the trailhead immediately across the street. The campground is well-equipped with power, water, and a dump station. There is some road noise, but it is not too loud at night. Unfortunately, there are logging trucks in the area that start at dawn and finish at dusk, but this noise is seasonal and will likely cease when the current section of logging in the forest is finished. There is also a constant flow of cars all afternoon and early evening down the road to the river. Verizon service is poor, so those who need connectivity for work should be aware. The campground is a great value and is worth considering when visiting Mount Saint Helens.
