GenieSummary
This campground is located on the Washington coast, providing a scenic environment with plenty of trees and shrubs surrounding the large sites. The RV/full hookup section is old, cramped, and in need of serious renovation. The bathrooms and showers in this section are functional but in rough shape, while the bathrooms and showers in the camping loop closest to the beach are in much better condition. The sites are 24 feet wide, and include a fire pit or grill and a heavy duty picnic table. The power is 50 amp only, and a Discover pass or camping receipt is required to drive onto the State Park area of the beach. The area can be easily saturated during heavy or persistent rains, and there is a moderate mosquito issue that requires repellent for extended stays outside. Tokens are required for showers, which must be purchased from a vending machine at the registration booth. Park staff enforces a comprehensive list of rules such as dogs on leash, number of people per site, and quiet hours.
From The Campground
Twin Harbors State Park offers camping options including cabins and yurts. Cabin #5 is ADA accessible and can accommodate up to five people. The cabins are heated and have a covered porch, picnic table, and fire pit outside. Four of the cabins are pet-friendly with an additional fee. Firewood, ice, snacks, ice cream bars, and beverages are sold in the welcome center during office hours. The park was a military training ground during the 1930s and the last remaining barracks were removed in 1977.
