Located at the north end of Yakima, Suntides RV is a well-maintained campground with large pull-through sites and plenty of mature shade trees. The gravel sites are fairly level and offer adequate room for auto parking. The park is surrounded by a chain link fence topped with barbed wire and the access gate closes at 11 PM with no access in or out. The web site shows lovely pictures of mountains and rivers, but unfortunately your view is of your neighbors rig. There are so many sites crammed into the fenced lot that squeezing between your picnic table and your neighbors slide-out can be a challenge. The pet area is just a grass strip outside of the park fence, along the street. The park offers DirecTV satellite, WiFi, and Verizon aircard service. There is an indoor pool and hot tubs open year round, and the park is open through the winter with freeze-protected water spigots. The staff is helpful and efficient, and the grounds staff is very welcoming. However, there is a high crime rate in the area and the park is close to a semi-abandoned hotel with a meth lab. The price is also quite high, and the 2nd access door to the showers and laundry needs to be opened. So, if you dont mind surly employees, high crime and the meth lab in the semi-abandoned hotel just down the road, by all means, this is your place.
