GenieSummary

Greenbrier River Campground is a nice place with helpful staff, but it is not recommended for big rigs as most spots are not suitable for them. Some spots are not well shaded and have a 20 foot cliff on the drivers side as well. The campground has a rustic setting and is located on the Greenbrier river, but you need to be aware of the train tracks that are across the narrow river. Trains pass frequently, making it a noisy place. The campground is also located next to the busy Route 63, so it can be noisy due to traffic as well. The sites seem to be mostly occupied by long-term residents and the primitive camping area is closer to the river. However, they provide all the regular RV amenities, including electric, water, and sewer. The bathrooms are clean, and they sell wood and kindling. The owners allow campers to do their own thing, and the spaces are easy to navigate. Despite the nice location, we would consider staying at one of the state parks next time for a more peaceful camping experience.
