Feather Lake Campground is a remote, wooded campground located a few miles off Interstate 68, near Morgantown and the Cheat Lake region. It is a great spot for young families with small RVs or trailers, as the roads are narrow and the sites are back-in. The sites are wooded with plenty of shade, and the campground is surrounded by state parks with lots of hiking trails. The gravel sites are bumpy and not very level, so campers may need to use blocks and max leg extension to get their RV level. The office clerk was very friendly and helpful, and the shower house is clean and has plenty of hot water. There is no phone signal for T-Mobile and Verizon, and no wifi, but the over-the-air TV antenna picked up plenty of Pittsburg stations. There is a lake for swimming, but the beach is mud not sand. Wildlife is abundant, and the atmosphere is serene and peaceful.
