They also host family-oriented events throughout the year. Lazy-A Campground was founded in 1987 by Kathleen 'Granny' Ashton and is now owned by her granddaughter, Mariah Nims, and her husband, Nelson Nims. The new owners promise to continue the family-oriented, customer service-based business that Granny Ashton built. They plan to integrate new things while still keeping the peaceful environment as a rustic campground that it has always been known for.
