This campground is a great choice for RVers looking for a beautiful and well-equipped destination. Located in a valley surrounded by trees, the resort is composed mostly of camper cabins and a limited number of RV sites. All hookups are first-class, with good WIFI, electric, water and sewer. However, large 5th wheels, toy haulers and Big Rigs (40ft+) should beware of crossing the railroad off the hay 52, onto the approach road to the campground, as it can be difficult and may cause damage. There is a back way into the CG, but it is recommended to review the switch backs with a climbing and descending turn before attempting. The campground is also very noisy, with ATVs running all over the place, and no speed limit or Yellow-Shirts present to supervise kids on bikes. Those not interested in ATVing the great trails that surround the park may not enjoy the stay.

Ashland Resort is the largest campground in the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System and the only Guest Rated™ “A” camping facility in West Virginia. It offers a selection of Lodges, Cottages and Cabins, RV and tent sites plus a Camp Store. The campground bathhouse is centrally located to RV and tent sites. All lodging sites feature fire pits, picnic tables, and WiFi. RV sites are available with varying degrees of convenience ranging from basic water, electric and TV cable to long full service pull-through sites. Cabins feature heat and AC plus TV, small refrigerator, microwave, and outdoor charcoal grills. Step up to Ashland Cottages for full baths, patios and more. Most include kitchenettes. Lodges include a touch of class with full size kitchen appliances. Facilities are complimented by our associates who welcome guests as friends and family. The Indian Ridge Trail passes through the Campground. The campground also connects to Pocahontas and Pinnacle Trails.
