Obrien Lake Campground is a small but scenic campground located near the Mountain State Arts and Crafts Festival site. It offers a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, with several wooden climbing towers, swings, slides, and playhouses for children to enjoy. The campground has 30 amp electrical service and a sewer dump pipe for each site, but no shower houses or camp store. There are a few trees nearby, but none provide shade for any of the sites. Across the street is a “Country Store” that also serves as the office for the RV park, and a tiny Methodist church next door that has services on Sunday mornings. To get to other activities, you will need to drive five miles on a narrow, winding road, which can be difficult to navigate at night. Despite the long drive, this is a great place to stay for a peaceful and quiet camping experience.
