The campground is spacious with plentiful shade provided by the surrounding trees. The lake has a decent swimming area and is perfect for boating and other water activities. The nearby trails provide ample opportunities for hiking. Although there is no lakefront access in area 2, the wooded setting provides a beautiful view. The entrance road has a steep hill, but this is not a fault of the campground. Overall, Mountain Lake Campground & Cabins is a perfect place to end a great vacation.
