This campground is situated on Lake Superior, with a boat ramp and small sand beach just steps away from the campsites. The sites are electric only, and are level, but can only accommodate smaller RVs. There is a dump station and a common water spigot, and ice and firewood are sold on the honor system. The campground is part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and is a 20-minute drive from Bayfield. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided, although some of the tables may be weathered. Payment is on the honor system, and reservations are required on weekends. There is no water at the sites, and showers cost money. Verizon service is available with an antenna and amplifier. The roads to the campground are paved, but some are bumpy. It is a quiet and dark place at night, and the beach is clean and sheltered. Tent sites are off to the side and more removed from the main camp.
