From The Campground
Brule River State Forest Campgrounds offer two family campsites with access to canoe landings on the Bois Brule River. The Bois Brule campground has 22 units with 17 pull-in sites and five walk-in sites. The Copper Range campground has 17 units and is located near favorite fishing holes and canoe routes. Both campgrounds have a hand pump and vault toilets centrally located. There is one designated wheelchair-accessible site at each of the family campgrounds. Each campsite has enough room for at least one family camping tent. Recreational vehicles and pull-behind campers are allowed on any campsite within the state forest. Backpacking is allowed, and the most suitable trail for backcountry camping is the North Country Trail. Firewood is not available at campgrounds.
