This campground is a great destination for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. Located high on a hill east of Cassville, the campground features large sites, a swimming pool with fountains, a snack bar-type restaurant, a bar, hiking trails, a playground, and live music on the weekends. The walls are lined with an impressive collection of animal mounts. The campground is almost exclusively seasonal, and is therefore usually quiet. A new overnight section has been added adjacent to the original campground, and the owners are making improvements. The campground also has an on-site bar and grill, which offers a popular Friday night fish fry. There is a path to a scenic overlook of the Mississippi River, and the campground is equipped with excellent Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, the campground can be loud and rowdy at times, as there are often irresponsible drunks and dogs running freely. The bathrooms can also be a mud hole after the rain, and the Wi-Fi is only available inside the main building and shuts down frequently. Despite these drawbacks, this campground is still a great place for families to enjoy a weekend away.
