What others are saying about this campground
Located in a rural area near plenty of cornfields, Toms Campground is a quiet park set on top of a small hilly area outside of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Although the TV selection is sparse due to the remote location, they have full hookups available for guests. There are some full-timers here, but the environment is friendly and welcoming to guests of all types. The parks facilities are clean, and while sites are unshaded and non-level grass, the roads are well-maintained asphalt and dirt. On the mens side, there are two private showers that could use a good cleaning, but they are available for a small fee. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the weekly rates are reasonable. Its only a short drive to Dodgeville, where youll find a Walmart and nice downtown area with several restaurants and sports bars. If you have any vehicle issues, the local dealer is very helpful and quick to assist.

From The Campground

Tom's Campground is nestled into a rural Wisconsin Hillside overlooking a pasture and a trout stream. The land is part of the heritage of six generations of the Thomas family. A stone cottage on the grounds was built by Halvor Knutson, a relative of the Thomas family, from stone quarried on the site. The campground land itself was homesteaded from the government over 100 years ago and has had three owners: Halvor Knutson, Michael Murphy and the Thomas Family. Halvor is buried in the cemetery up the road from the campground and three generations of the Thomas Family still live on adjoining lands. Robert and Twila Thomas have joined in establishing Tom's Campground for your enjoyment.
