What others are saying about this campground
Located in Fish Creek, WI, Penninsula State Park is a heavily wooded campground that is perfect for nature lovers seeking a peaceful getaway. Visitors can take a short walk through the woods to reach the beach or explore the parks hiking trails. The campground also offers clean water, nice sites, and quiet and dark atmosphere at night. While some have noted that the campgrounds bathrooms could use better cleaning, others have praised its beautiful fall foliage, privacy, and multiple amenities such as hiking trails, a beach, bike paths, and a golf course. The parks dump station is also brand new and very large. One reviewer noted that they had a difficult time fitting their 44ft RV onto their assigned site due to narrow and curvy roads, but ultimately found their site to be clean and level once they settled in. Another reviewer praised the immaculate showers, stating that they were the nicest showers theyve ever seen while camping. Overall, the park offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, nature watching, fishing, and more. Visitors can also take in the sights at the fire tower, bat house, and lighthouse, or attend shows at the Northern sky theater. In addition, there are plenty of nearby towns to explore, each offering something unique to see and do.
