From The Campground

Black Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful campground located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The campground offers RV camping with hardened parking area, picnic table, and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided throughout the recreation area. The campground also offers tent-only sites and size restrictions for RVs. Fishing is a popular activity in the area, with musky, walleye, bass and panfish available in the 129-acre Black Lake. The campground also offers a 4-mile foot trail that circles Black Lake, providing an easy two-hour hike with excellent views of the lake. Wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful, with elk, deer, waterfowl, bald eagles and more. The campground also offers a picnic area, two boat landings for fishing and recreation watercraft, a beach, and a grassy area for swimming.
