GenieSummary

The campground has a large swimming pond with a beach and a dock, as well as access to the nearby Devils River. The pond is full of clay at the bottom, with not much sand except for by the beach, so it isnt the best for walking, just swimming or floating. There are tall trees for partial shade and plenty of grassy areas for activities. The campground also has access to the nearby Maribel Caves park and the Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse is on Lake Michigan about 30 minutes away. The weekdays are extremely quiet but the weekends get a little busy due to the seasonal sites. The only negative with our stay (which the campground cant help) were the mosquitos, flies, and bees. Devils River Campground is a great place to camp with family and friends. The campground offers grassy sites with tall trees for partial shade, a large swimming pond with a beach and a dock, access to the nearby Devils River, and access to the nearby Maribel Caves park. The campground is located atop a very steep hill with gravel road access and the rest rooms and showers are something out of the 1950s vintage. The weekdays are extremely quiet but the weekends get a little busy due to the seasonal sites. There are plenty of activities to do such as playing cards, lawn games, _Slammo_, frisbee, and swimming. The only negative with our stay (which the campground cant help) were the mosquitos, flies, and bees. The Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse is on Lake Michigan about 30 minutes away from the campground and is definitely worth a visit.
