What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Superior and Basswood Island, offering beautiful views of the lake and the Apostle Islands. It is close to downtown Bayfield, where cruises to the Apostle Islands depart, and a three minute walk from the Indian casino. The campground is relatively small and sites are arranged irregularly around a hilltop and vary a lot in size, spacing, and levelness. Water spigots and electric boxes are also found in some odd places. There is one bathhouse that is closed and another in major need of renovation and repairs. The RV dump is located on the wrong side of the road, so you have to drive into the casino parking lot, turn around and then face the wrong way on the road to dump. The geese seem to be around and the staff are working to keep them out of the camping area. Sites are back-in with water & electric and a backwards dump station. Campers do have access to the hotel showers and restrooms, separate entrance. There are also picnic tables and large fire pits. Trucks park wherever they can fit so that makes it even more tight to back into a site.
